Mallory Smith is a paralegal on Freeman & Fuson’s criminal defense team, where she works with attorney Nick Schulenberg. She and Chloe Duncan are often the first people potential clients talk to when they call about a criminal case.
Mallory grew up in a family with deep roots in law enforcement, which sparked her interest in the legal system early on. She has always loved learning the law. Criminal defense work drew her in because it lets her make a real difference in people’s lives and helps make sure everyone has a voice and fair representation.
Mallory is from Murfreesboro. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in Communications, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, graduating summa cum laude. She also interned with the Hamilton County District Attorney General’s Office while in college.
Mallory spends her free time thrifting, reading, and getting outside with friends and family.
