Charles Grissom is a law clerk at Freeman & Fuson, working primarily with Mark Freeman on the firm’s civil litigation team. He is from McMinnville and holds his J.D. from Nashville School of Law.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018 and went straight into Nashville School of Law, where he graduated in 2022 and won the school’s Civil Trial Practice Group award. His grandfather, a judge, encouraged him to reach out to the firm after learning that Marissa Knight was finishing her degree at Nashville School of Law and that Freeman & Fuson liked working with law students. Since joining, he has assisted on hundreds of civil matters, from landlord-tenant disputes to federal class action lawsuits, with a focus on property, business, and contract disputes.
Outside the office, Charles has logged more than 2,000 volunteer hours with the American Red Cross and stays involved with programs like Night to Shine and the Nashville Rescue Mission. His wife was recently accepted to medical school.
